Frequently asked questions
Doesn't Shopify already create VAT invoices?
Shopify Tax can generate VAT invoices for EU and UK orders, but they are not emailed to customers automatically, they are not available for every order (for example orders with duties or shipments to Portugal), and refunds need a matching credit note. InvoiceFlow Pro issues invoices and credit notes automatically on every paid order and refund.
How does it handle reverse charge?
When a business customer in another country gives a VAT number, InvoiceFlow Pro applies the reverse charge under Article 196 of the EU VAT Directive and marks the invoice accordingly, instead of charging your local VAT.
Which languages are supported?
Invoices can be issued in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Turkish.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan covers 50 invoices a month with all VAT rules, templates and languages. The Pro plan removes the limit for $8.99 a month and comes with a 15-day free trial.
Can my accountant get the data?
Yes. You can download invoices in bulk as PDF and export them to CSV.
