Gender Equality Plan

Commitment

Specifek Ltd considers gender equality a foundational principle across recruitment, development, pay, and decision-making. This plan is published in line with the Horizon Europe Gender Equality Plan (GEP) framework and aligned with UK Equality Act 2010 obligations.

1. Work-life balance and organisational culture

Flexible working hours, remote-work options, and gender-neutral parental support are provided as standard.

Meetings and team events are scheduled with caregiving responsibilities in mind.

2. Gender balance in leadership and decision-making

Hiring committees aim for diverse representation. Gender distribution in management and technical-leadership positions is reviewed annually.

3. Recruitment and career progression

Job descriptions use gender-neutral language. Interviews follow a structured, bias-mitigating protocol.

Performance reviews use measurable, transparent criteria.

4. Integration of the gender dimension in research content

Across R&D projects we lead or contribute to, the gender dimension is treated methodologically to ensure inclusive design for all user segments.

5. Gender-based violence and sexual harassment

Zero-tolerance policy applies. All staff and partners have access to a reporting channel. Reports are handled confidentially, swiftly, and fairly.

Monitoring and reporting

This plan is reviewed annually against indicators such as gender distribution, pay equity, and incident records, and updated as needed. Responsible: Company Director.
